Exercise Science students present research in Texas

Current and former 51ĀŅĀ× exercise science research students presented studies at the American Physical Therapy Association-Combined Sections Meeting in San Antonio, Texas, on February 4.

Senior Madison Blankenship presented the study titled, ā€œJob responsibilities and satisfaction of American physical therapists.ā€ Co-authors included Lakeland exercise science research student Alicia Thone and Associate Professor of Exercise Science William Ebben.

Senior Alicia Thone presented the study titled, ā€œImpacts of productivity standards and documentation requirements on American physical therapists.ā€ Blankenship and Ebben were co-authors.

LU exercise science graduate Dylan Lange presented the study titled, ā€œA comparative study of occupational and physical therapists.ā€ 51ĀŅĀ× exercise science graduate Garrett Duffin, as well as Thone and Ebben, were co-authors.

Lange and Duffin are each in Doctor of Physical Therapy programs. Thone has been accepted into seven Doctor of Physical Therapy programs, and Blankenship is pursuing a career as a physician’s assistant.
